Over the Friendship Highway, this road trip started in Kathmandu and ended in Xi'an in China, taking us through Dram (Zhangmu) on the Tibet-Nepal border; Nyalam, Yarle Shung La Pass, Everest base camp, Shigatse, Gyantse, Lhasa, and Namtso Lake in Tibet; followed by Lanzhou and Labrang in Gansu province; and finally onto Xi'an, the ancient capital of China, in Shaanxi province.
